Certified Transport
Registered Nurse (CTRN®) Exam
Energize Your Career. Prove Your Expertise. Get Certified.
If you are a transport registered nurse practicing in critical care ground environments, earn your Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN®) credential, demonstrating that you have attained the body of knowledge needed to provide quality critical care ground transport nursing care. The CTRN exam is available beginning March 31, 2006.
The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) in partnership with the Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA) completed the Role Delineation Study (RDS) in 2005 to identify responsibilities of nurses doing critical care ground transport. Approximately 40% of the potential RDS survey participants responded to the survey. Over 98% indicated that the survey either adequately or completely covered the important aspects of transport nursing practice.
